My netbook is better than a book. It was boring having a book last year.



A good thing about your netbook is you can have your own blog. Is that you can publish your  writing into your blog.


I like my netbook because it mean having a netbook.

On the weekend

On the weekend I was playing with my cousin outside. We were playing water ight and then. My brother came and I made him wet and then it was getting cold so we stopped. When we were finished we ate ice cream .After that we had dinner and we were watching movies. And eating chocolate it was fun there.In the afternoon we went to the ptenglend beach. And I build a sandcastle and I went for a swim I had lots of fun playing. And we played sand fight.

Making my toy

Yesterday room 14 was making there own toys.Some people was on youtube to find out
how to make it so everybody was clever at making it. Some people were making the coin and the balloon.

Nearly everybody was making the same things but calvin was the best at making his toy.I made a
coin and the balloon. Then Miss Ouano gave us some stickers to decorate it.

Room 14 had so much fun at making their toys. I had so much fun as well.

When Cezar was walking in the pt england he saw an accident he call for ‘HELP’! So Cezer call 111 and so the cops came and they towing van came and towed away the car then.

Play Dough

This morning we made fractions out of Play Dough. Room fourteen made them into eels. We had to cut them into two halve parts and then we made it into three third parts. After that we cut them up four fourth parts, then into five fifths.


The Play Dough felt gooey the color of the Play Dough was neon like the sun. It smelt like salty donuts!

It was so fun playing with the play dough. I hope we get to use play dough next time we learn fractions.

The Paralympics

Cameron Leslie won the 150 metre race. He won the two golds with a missing limb. He is from Northland.

The tekoteko has scary blue eyes, a big tongue, and sharp teeth. It is a carved in the shape of a human. A tekoteko is seen in a marae and protects the marae from the harm.

Last night I heard Valerie Adams had gold because Nadzeya Ostapchuck cheated. She had a drug test and she didn't pass. Adams was in her car when she found out in Switzerland.

Youth Town clay

Last week room 14 and room 17 went on a noisy bus to Youth Town.
I had fun making clay. I made a person with a little hat. When I was finished I went to sprinkle some glass on top. There were different colours of glass. Some were big and small.
After when we were finished making our clay, we got our bags and went to the bus.
 I had fun making clay at youth town.

Andrew Warhola's Biograghy

I really enjoy looking at the bright colours and bold lines that are used for Andy Warhol’s art. Warhol was a pop artist who was full of life and talent.

Andy was born 1928 He was from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania U.S.A. His parents came from
Slovakia. Warhol got Chorea Disease when he was 8 years old. Andy was cutting magazines.

Warhol went to Schenley High School. He did not have many friends because he was quiet, and had shockingly pale skin and white-blonde hair. He loved to go to movies and started a collection of celebrity autographed photos. Warhol graduated from high school and then went to Carnegie Institute of Technology, where he graduated in 1949 with a major in pictorial design.

During the 1960s, Warhol began creating the paintings he is best known for today.
Warhol painted large pictures of supermarket products and celebrities Warhol found “The Factory” which was his studio.

He died in 1987 after a Gallbladder operation.

Swimming Recount

Everyday Rm14 goes swimming. We had lots of  fun swimming in the pool it was warm
inside the pool.

When we got there we took off our uniforms. We went to have a rinse, then we had to wait for
our  instructor. When they come we have to hop inside the pool  grab the kick board.

My group has been learning to swim to the Island. We also do rocket arms, hold on to the board and kick hard. When we were finished we had a Breathing competition .

I feel that I am getting better at swimming.

My Favourite Things

Camp

Last week year 5 and 6 had camp. We went to camp cooking to make dampers.

First we had to get the bamboo stick and I put some dough
on my bamboo stick. I put it on the smoke and it got golden. I was the
first one to finish cooking my damper. It was yum and so tasty.
